December Fun

This month has been packed with Christmas parties, birthday parties, play dates, girls nights, and school gatherings. We have had so much fun! The boys have had two trips to see Santa- the first was at Eagle Rock’s Family Day; the second was the coveted trip to Santa at Phipps. MJ did great this year, but Ty wasn’t too sure about the strange man with the beard. While he didn’t cry the first time he sat on Santa’s lap, he didn’t smile either. When we were at Phipps, Ty started sobbing as soon as I backed away. I think the picture is still adorable (see below).

Here are a few pictures from Eagle Rock’s Family Day. The Budweiser Clydesdales were there- they are so beautiful! They also had a petting zoo, face painting, and balloon animals. The boys had a great time.

We had an ADPi get together with all of the kids- they were adorable! MJ, Ty, and Wyatt were all wearing the same sweater…we tried to get a picture, but it was next to impossible with these boys!

MJ’s school had their annual Christmas program in the church where each class takes turns singing Christmas songs. MJ and his buddies knew the words this year! We also had MJ’s class Christmas party last week.

The boys enjoyed some time making treats with Grandma Colleen and visiting the blow up houses.

We spent this past Sunday at my parent’s house for our annual BAKING DAY! I think we made a total of 10 different types of cookies this year. MJ had so much fun stirring, rolling, chopping, and icing all of the treats! Ty, of course, enjoyed eating all of them!

I can’t believe Christmas is less than a week away! MJ has been on his best behavior for Simie (our Elf on the shelf).

We are thankful for….

Profile 1

We are so thrilled that baby Eco number three is on the way! MJ and Ty can’t wait to meet their brother or sister, who is due in early June. First trimester is behind us, and I am feeling great. It is going to be a zoo around here with 3 kids under the age of 3.5 years, but we are gearing up for the excitement/chaos! We had an ultrasound this past week – above is baby’s profile; below is an adorable picture of his or her little feet!

We will be waiting to find out the sex until the baby is born. Steve and I did this with both MJ and Ty and absolutely loved it. MJ did tell me today that I had his little sister in my belly (but he also said that with Ty), so I guess we’ll see!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving last week. We went to my parent’s house for an early dinner and then went over to Steve’s parent’s house for late dinner. Both were equally delicious! (and I was thrilled that I didn’t have to cook- especially since I don’t know how to make any of the casseroles OR cook a turkey)! Here are a few pictures….

I will keep you posted on baby’s progress. My belly is already getting bigger by the day!!

Day Three: Breakfast with Mickey, MGM, Christmas Parade

Our last day in Disney World was packed with fun activities. The day started early – we had breakfast with Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch at Disney’s Polynesian Resort at 7:30. The whole thing was very well done- the food was delicious (especially the Mickey waffles), and the characters spent time at each table for autographs and pictures. The boys absolutely loved it! Their eyes were beaming when Mickey came over.

After breakfast, all of the kids marched in a parade around the dining room. Ty insisted on walking by himself, and Pluto came right up behind him to play!

With full bellies, we headed over to MGM (now Disney’s Hollywood Studios). The highlight of the park was definitely the Toy Story ride – even the line had adorable memorabilia from the movie.

MJ also loved the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground.

We bought tickets to the Magic Kingdom’s Christmas parade that evening (which didn’t start until 8:15), so we knew it was going to be a long day. Grannddad and both grandmas were kind enough to take the boys back to the condo for a nap while Steve and I did a few of the adult rides. We all met back up at the Magic Kingdom a couple of hours later. Since they close the park to all visitors except the Christmas parade guests, we breezed through all of the lines and went on all of MJs favorite rides one last time. The park was gorgeous with all of the Christmas lights and decorations.

We are so glad we stayed for the parade – it was amazing! We had front row seats, so MJ really felt like he was in all of the action.

We said goodbye to Disney World the next morning. Our first trip there with the kids was everything we dreamed of and more. We will definitely be back!!!
