Last Friday was Grandparent’s Day at MJ’s school. Since this is our first year in the “big school” we had no idea what to expect. It turns out it is a huge deal for the school – they had over 550 grandparents come to spend the morning with their grandchildren! MJ missed Grandma and Grandpa Eco who were out of town, but he was happy Grandma and Granddad Engle were able to attend!
Grandma and Granddad were in the first group which meant they went to the classroom first. MJ greeted them with the sign you see in the first picture. Then he proudly showed them around his classroom. After everyone was settled, the class got up, said a prayer and sang a few songs.
Grandma got to read MJ a couple of books during their free time.
Classroom time was followed by a light breakfast in the cafeteria and a school wide mass. My mom and dad said MJ did a great job sitting still at church with them! Their last stop was the gym for awards and a few more songs. It was a very special day for our biggest boy.
