M.J. had his very first day of preschool today. They made the first day a "meet and greet" so that the kids could get acquainted with eachother and the teachers. It was also a chance for them to explore their really cool classroom! Steve and I sat with the other parents as we all got to meet eachother and watch the kids interact. MJ did GREAT! He had a ball with the kids, and he warmed up to the teachers right away. The big test will be dropping him off on Thursday, when he will stay by himself. Hopefully it will go well!

Fun times
It has been a busy 2 weeks since I last posted. On my week off, we had a ton of playdates with neighbors and friends, MJ and I went to visit Steve at work, and Grandma Engle and I took MJ to the zoo. It was the second time he has been to the zoo, but it was just as exciting as the first time. He LOVES animals - particularly lions, zebras, giraffes, and rhinos. He rode on the merry-go-round for the first time, quickly followed by a second and third time. Here are a few pictures...
MJ looks right at home at daddy's desk! A sign of things to come?!
Hi Mommy and Grandma!
Grandma and MJ
I started my job at Piedmont on Monday, and I officially survived my first week... YAY! It has been wonderful so far - I love all of the partners in the group as well as the support staff. Everyone is extremely happy to work there, and they have made my transition easy. It is weird and exciting to be an attending physician for the first time!
Baby Eco-to-be is becoming more and more active and kicking me like crazy all day and all night. He or she is starting to act like MJ did in the womb. We have 2 months to go before baby gets here! MJ said "sister" and pointed at my belly the other night...was that a sign?! :)
Here is MJ in his Thomas the Train bed that I mentioned in the last post
MJ starts preschool on Tuesday, so stay tuned for pictures of his first day of school!

Yes...I started a blog!
Hi everyone! I was finally convinced to start a blog. Hopefully, this will be a great way for family and friends to keep up with our growing family.
A lot has happened in the past month...
I finished my Internal Medicine residency - YAY!
We moved to a new house that we LOVE.
I took the Boards.
We went to Destin for a nice, relaxing vacation.
Steve and I will be welcoming a new addition to the Eco family in 2 months (I am 30 weeks pregnant). We decided not to find out the sex again, but we are having fun guessing! :)
MJ is 21 months old (where did my baby go?!?!) and acting more and more like a little boy every day. He will start preschool at our church in 3 weeks. We recently transitioned him to a Thomas the Train toddler bed that he absolutely LOVES. He has been sleeping so well in it, he hardly even misses his crib. In fact, the other day we walked into the nursery, and he said "there is the baby's crib."
MJ is talking in full sentences now, and he knows his ABCs and how to count to 10. His favorite songs to sing are "Twinkle, twinkle little star" and "Rock-a-bye baby." He doesn't always get them right, but he is adorable trying!
Steve has been busy with work, and is looking forward to his annual Elk hunt out in Colorado in a few weeks. MJ tried his first bite of elk a couple days ago, and he loved it (who knew?!), so now the pressure is on...we have hungry mouths to feed!
I am starting my new job as an internist at Piedmont next week. I can't believe how fast one journey has ended and another has begun. Medical school and residency truly flew by. I am so thankful for having such an amazing husband and family who have supported me through it all.
I promise all of my posts won't be this sappy. :)
Here are a few pictures of our trip to Destin last week...
